Prioritizing Your Mental Well-Being
Advocating The Practice Of Daily Mindfulness
Inner Explorer is an online platform and a mindfulness app that promotes the practice of daily mindfulness in young students across the country. Available in both Spanish and English, the Inner Explorer program caters to children from kindergarten through high school. Mindfulness in schools will help promote the mental health of students and the mental health of teachers.
Their practice is based on Mindfulness-Based Social Emotional Learning (MBSEL). This helps students cultivate emotional skills. These skills help students navigate through their entire school life helping them deal with stress and various other traumatic experiences. |
Why Should Students Practice Mindfulness?
This entire program has the practice of social emotional learning at its core. Mindfulness is a practice where individuals are hyper-aware of their surroundings and the emotions they are experiencing at that very moment. The practice of daily mindfulness helps students, parents, and teachers deal with chronic stress due to academics and their personal lives. Mindfulness in education is an important aspect that should be implemented in various educational institutes. When applied in a classroom setting, the practice of mindfulness has shown students to reach greater levels of academic success with lesser behavioral issues overall reducing teacher stress. Mindfulness helps students cope with issues making them more accepting while also giving them the ability to absorb the teaching given out in the classroom. |
What Is Our Mission?
We aim to simplify the practice of mindfulness. When one hears the words mindfulness, they tend to think it is a complicated process that is difficult to maintain. But we at Inner Explorer want to simplify this process and make it approachable to students all over the country. We would like to help students develop a strong emotional understanding and social skills that will allow them to deal with hardships. |
